Bad breath is experienced by most people at some time. It may simply be "morning breath" but can be a persistent chronic condition which affects a person's everyday life and confidence, called Halitosis. It is almost always caused initially by poor oral hygiene which leads to a build up of excess bacteria in the mouth. If bad breath is a persistent problem then it is almost certainly linked to gum disease, so we will examine your mouth to determine whether there is an underlying problem. The team has successfully treated approximately 35,000 patients, with a success rate of 98%.

If the problem requires specialist attention then we may recommend monitoring at the Fresh Breath Centre which is also located at 2 Devonshire Place. The Fresh Breath Centre was the UK's first centre to clinically measure, diagnose and successfully treat oral malodour and was founded by Dr Philip Stemmer B.D.S. in 1995. Here, patients' bad breath can also be detected by a halimeter, an instrument which measures the level of gases given off by bacteria in the mouth. We totally understand that this is a potentially embarrassing issue for patients and our caring staff assure complete confidentiality at all times. Should a problem be diagnosed then we will help to rectify this with a treatment plan or provide you with advice, information, tools and product for use at home that will help cure the condition - and prevent it from recurring.

Visit dentylph.co.uk for details of the mouthwash that lifts, removes and reveals bacteria that cause bad breath. You will see what is removed in the sink as evidence that it works. There is no other mouthwash like it.
